LOCATION

Once you arrive in the area, you will see that the fortress of Fragokastello is undoubtedly the dominant feature of the plain (along with the olive trees). It is a position that the fortress rightly holds, as it is associated with many of the stories and legends of the area, but it often makes visitors overlook the other elements of the area and its unique character.

North of the plain there are two villages, the Patsianos (on the left, looking from the fortress) and the Kapsodasos. Kallikratis is hidden by the mountain, although its gorge and the road leading to it can be seen, carved into the mountain, above the two villages of the plain.
